I brought you a flower!

O Thanx. I'll put it with Mike's.

10 years of Stars and Hearts?

I don't know exactly how long or how many thousands of times I've drawn hearts and stars like this. Here they are with coffee mugs celebrating each other.

Even a couple of pieces of fruit are excited about it:

Save this and use it on someone's facebook or myspace when appropriate!

Guest artist Sam Sparks: The Fire Skeleton.

Samuel Sparks, prolific artist of literally thousands of works, is the guest artist for this entry. Sam did this a little while back at the age of 7:

Fire Skeleton conducting an orchestral fire storm symphony on a city.
Note the extremely excellent skeleton design.

Signed "by SAM" on the back, in letters are made of bones on fire.

my so-called business meeting notes, part 2

Guys in sky vision, flower row, lotsa dots connecting

guy in big red chair

tall flowers, little guys

tall red orange bottle with pink flower on wood table with carved heart.

green boy with sky flowers, happy blue octopus.

soft gray pencil scene with moody guy, lamp post, trees, and deep canyon

my so-called business meeting notes, part 1

I take thorough notes in meetings. Here's some from my note book, taken in the middle of hour-long deep problem-solving discussions with my clients:

Underground library cave with big red chair. Above ground is a scene with flowers, hills and sky. I've been drawing underground caves with stuff in them since I was about 4 years old.

Happy guy, ugly flower. I made this one in a meeting yesterday.

These notes take me right back to the SiteCatalyst presentation.

Cute girl with big pillar. All hands Gyro meeting notes.
The pillar was accused of being "phallic" by Jason M.

Advertising storyboard in my cartoon style

I work in advertising. During a brain-storming session with some other professionals at Publicis, we were sketching away on ideas in a semi-realistic style (which takes me a long time to do). I suddenly decided to do one of the ideas in my simple quick cartoon style.

We posted our boards on the wall at a big meeting with about 10 people to go over all the ideas. The sketches below charmed everyone. Someone should hire me to do an ad in exactly my style! (I came really close once with Microsoft, they wanted to do an animated ad in my style, but changed their mind at the last minute).

How to color in coloring books

To the great delight of my two sons, I colored Oscar from Sesame Street, and Peppermint Patty from Charlie Brown/Peanuts like this:

Evil Peppermint Patty on fire and burning a Christmas list.

Murderous Oscar with Blood and a skull.
